Iranian Regime Front Group Suffers Significant Loss in US Courts
by Jim Hoft https://www.legal-project.org/4031/iranian-regime-front-group-suffers-significant The people of Iran know Trita Parsi. It is no secret that he is thought to be a lackey for the regime. Recently a D.C. District Court ordered a huge penalty against Parsi and the National Iranian American Council (NIAC) for perpetrating abuses against Hassan Daioleslam. Hassan was sued by NIAC for outing Iranian regime friends and supporters.
The final outcome of this case is a major victory. Parsi and NIAC's predatory lawsuit against Mr. Hassan Daioleslam was initiated on their part in order to not only harass Mr. Daioleslam, but also intimidate anyone else from scrutinizing their operation. Parsi and NIAC never expected Mr. Daioleslam to mount any defense. Yet in the end not only did Mr. Daioleslam defense have Parsi and NIAC's lawsuit thrown out, it also exposed Parsi and NIAC's illicit lobbying on behalf of the Iranian regime in greater scope. Parsi and NIAC's defeat not only destroyed their credibility, it also brought a great financial penalty. Due to their blatant illegal misconduct during the trial, Parsi and NIAC were fined $183,480.09 by the court to be paid to Mr. Daioleslam's legal defense. This outcome is a major victory for American jurisprudence, the First Amendment and our national security. receive the latest by email: subscribe to the legal project's free mailing list This text may be reposted or forwarded so long as it is presented as an integral whole with complete and accurate information provided about its author, date, place of publication, and original URL. |
