Marie Harf: We're praising Islamic cleric on what he said recently, NOT what he said about killing Americans
by The Right Scoop https://www.legal-project.org/4320/marie-harf-were-praising-islamic-cleric-on-what The State Dept. is doing black flips to accommodate Obama's recent praising at the UN of a cleric, Sheikh Abdallah Bin Bayyah, who issued a fatwa back in 2004 to kill American soldiers. This same cleric recently issued a fatwa against ISIS and that's why Obama praised him at the UN. In order to justify it though, the State Dept., who recently apologized for praising this same cleric, told Megyn Kelly that they only care about what this cleric said recently, not what he said back in 2004 or something: Qaradawi also rejected the ISIS caliphate saying something about them violating Sharia. But that's because Qaradawi knows that Turkey is planning an even larger caliphate that is just on the horizon and he has already blessed that caliphate in Istanbul. So I suspect that Bayyah is operating under very similar reasons in his fatwa against ISIS if not the same reason as Qaradawi.
